Climbing wall re-routed

Dave McLeod, the young Scottish guy who climbed the hardest traditional route in the world in 2006 (Rhapdsody – E11) has just carried out a complete re-routing of the wall at McLaren.  While there are a number of routes for those just staring out climbing and for parties, there are many routes at 6a, 6b and 6c, and a couple at 7a that will suit climbers at intermediate level looking to really push their grade.

The routes are exciting and varied, with more than 30 routes including 8 lead routes, and a bouldering traverse at 6c to halfway round, after which in Dave’s own words ‘it gets interesting’ at 7b!!

If you have not been on the wall recently, you will be surprised at the quality of these exciting new routes.  Dave McLeod is one of the world’s greatest climbers who just keeps coming up with new exciting traditional projects in Scotland.  If you are into climbing, then it is a must to climb his indoor route creations at McLaren.
